Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is very nice we loved the grounds. There are a bunch of beautiful flowers and it is just so peaceful. Our favorite part was the seaside, which was just so unique. The food at the seaside bar was some of the best shockingly. There was a very nice spread for breakfast. The service was exceptional. The room was just OK. For a five star resort, you would just expect a little bit more, but in Italy, the amenities just aren’t the best in the world. I would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful hotel with a great pool, breathtaking view, and wonderful private beach. Service is great! Everyone is very friendly and the concierge has great recommendations for staying busy in the area. On the other hand for a 5-star, the room is ok. The bathroom shower should be bigger it is a tight fit. The air conditioning in the room is lacking. Don’t expect it to be cold. You only get one key to power the room which would be why since there is no power at all until you return with the key so the room is hot to sleep. Restaurant has a stunning view but expensive option and the food was not great compared to the price. There are way better options in Sorrento. Expect the hotel to be pretty remote. Take a taxi or bus from the port and the city center if not expect a very steep set of stairs and long walk 25-30min. Closest restaurants and center is about 15 walk or half a mile one way making it a bit more inconvenient. You can get to the hotel earlier before check in and check out but linger around a bit later if you want to enjoy more of the pool, beach, or bars. Really enjoyed the fact there are automatic black out blinds to block the light and sleep in. There was live music our first night we could hear in the room but ended fairly early and we were still able to sleep. Unfortunately paper thin walls we could hear a good portion of the chatting in the hall and room next to us.
Set in a beautiful garden, the hotel sits majestically on the Sorrento cliff top overlooking the sea.
The deluxe rooms are spacious with good amenities, bath robes, and slippers. The shower is in the bath, which is disappointing.
Service is fantastic with a turn-down option each night. Rooms are very clean, and the king-size bed extremely comfortable.
Buffet breakfast is adequate, though not spectacular, as I've encountered in other 5 star hotels.
A lift takes you right down to the beach and swimming area where you'll also find a restaurant open for lunch.
A shuttle service is available throughout the day to assist travelling into Sorrento town, which is a brisk 20-minute walk.
Colino1861 highly recommended ✅️ 💯
Just got back from our honeymoon at this hotel and I've got to say that this is one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated their help when looking for activities in the area. For example, they were not only able to arrange a winery tour, but also transportation to and from the winery.
The food at the hotel was excellent, with a delicious breakfast being included each morning with a gorgeous view across the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. In particular the dinners there were among the best we had on our trip, with every single dish being both beautiful and exceptionally good.
It was a bit of a walk to the city center, with it taking us usually around 15 minutes to get there. However, walking into the hotel's spectacular gardens at the end of the day the noise from the road would die away and we immediately felt relaxed. The gardens made the hotel feel like an oasis from the crowds and noise we experienced on our excursions.
To top this all off, the private beach meant we could get out by the waves without having to step off the property - an amenity that you certainly shouldn't overlook.
Check this place out! It won't disappoint.
We loved our time here. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were nice. The view for breakfast was fantastic! Would recommend for sure. Had three nights of weddings but only one night went way too long and way too loud.
Unfortunately, the issues I experienced did not match what would be expected for a 5 star hotel at this price range.
1) Location is not good for Sorrento. It is a 25 min walk to go to the square, which is where you would want to be near. There is nothing nice around this hotel area.
-The hotel told me there is a shuttle service that they offer. However, they have only 1 car with 8 seats available and offer the ride in very limited times during the day. Each time I tried to reserve a spot, they said "sorry you can take a cab because our shuttle is full" -They have 8 seats for an entire hotel!
Hotel is in a terrible area. Far away from everything.
2) My room Air conditioner did not work for the 1st day. repair men came to my room twice to fix it. Apparently the valve was broken and we were very uncomfortable the first night. I'm paying $900/night and front desk gives me smug attitude. Not 5 star attitude
3) Wifi. No wifi in my room. called and asked about it, got no resolution
4) Right next door to the hotel, they host private events with music blasting throughout the whole night. If this hotel is going for exclusive, it did not feel like that either.
Overall, the experience was not great. I've been to other hotels in the area, and I would recommend avoiding this one. It's just not a 5 star experience.
I thought because it was on the Amex business collection list, it would be good. I assure you, this hotel is not worth your money or your time.
Gorgeous and secluded. Unbeatable views. Spacious rooms. Enjoyed the music of a wedding going on one night! Wish I could have stayed longer.
Wow....what a beautiful hotel. We had a garden view. Rooms are clean..bedding is comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. We ate dinner in the restaurant one evening and it was amazing. Waitstaff was attentive.
